Omega-3

Children’s Cod Liver Oil contains the omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, which contribute to the normal function of the heart. DHA is also one of the most important structural components of cells in the brain, eyes and central nervous system and contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and vision.

As the body does not produce sufficient amounts of EPA and DHA, these fatty acids need to be obtained through the diet. They are primarily found in seafood, making cod liver oil a good way to obtain these essential fatty acids.

Vitamins A, D and E

Vitamins A, D and E are all essential nutrients with a wide range of beneficial effects on the body, including supporting the normal function of the immune system. Children’s Cod Liver Oil is a good source of vitamin D, which plays a key role in the absorption and utilisation of calcium and phosphorus in the body, thereby supporting the normal growth and maintenance of bones, teeth and muscles. This makes vitamin D particularly important for growing children.

In northern regions, where sunlight is limited for a large part of the year, it is particularly important to ensure an adequate intake of vitamin D. In addition, it can be difficult to obtain sufficient amounts from food alone, and vitamin D deficiency is common worldwide.
